You fist must know who is in your pool before you can use this page.

How will I do in my pool?

If you are feeling particularly prognosticatory, you can try to guess how you would do in a theoretical pool at a tournament with a given attendance P, and then see how this would seed you into the DEs and what your ultimate finish might be.

Simple

This approach is victory based, a more accurate approach would take indicators into account, but I haven't worked one out that gives the right answer yet.

We know, based on your world ranking and the attendance of the tournament, who is in your pool (see above). You beat the ones ranked worse than T and lose to the ones ranked better. Write your victory percentage (victories divided by bouts fenced) as a fraction (100%=1.0, 0%=0.0), subtract it from 1.0, and multiply that by the total number of fencers in all the pools (200*P-16). This is roughly your seed out of the pools.

The top 16 out of the pools all go straight up to the second day. The bottom 20% or so all go home.

What Next?

You need to look at who you will fence in direct elimination.
